*Updated* UAW Local 2256 Upcoming Election Notices

UAW 39th Constitutional Convention (Positions filled as of April 22nd)

All members in good standing for one (1) year are automatically nominated. 

  • Candidates must accept nomination in writing at the UAW Local 2256 Hall.
  • Nominations will be accepted from 9:00am to 3:00pm Wednesday, April 8th and Thursday, April 9th .
  • No acceptances may be made by telephone or mail.

Election for the UAW 39th Constitutional Convention will take place on:

  • Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 7:00am until 6:00pm.
Delegates were finalized at the General Membership meeting on April 22nd due to acclimation. The results are as followed:

Ingham County Delegate:
Teresa Carter

Accident Fund Delegate:
Tamara Collins (two votes)

Accident Fund Alternate:
Nicole Bell-Blaire
Sonya Bennett

Miscellaneous:

UAW Local 2256 Officers
 

Nominations are being accepted for the offices of: 
  • President
  • 1st Vice President
  • 2nd Vice President
  • Recording Secretary
  • Financial Secretary/Treasurer
  • Three (3) Trustees
  • Sergeant-at-Arms
  • Guide

Candidates must accept nomination in writing and in person at the UAW Local 2256 hall and will be accepted from April 15 through April 22, 2026 by 3pm.

  • Except on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, where nominations WILL be accepted at the Local Membership Meeting at 6:30 pm.

Election of UAW Local 2256 officers will take place on:

  • Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 7:00am to 3:00pm.
  • Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 10:00am until 6:00pm.
  • Tuesday, May 13, 2026, from 7:00am to 3:00pm.
  • Wednesday, May 14, 2026, from 10:00am until 6:00pm.

The original notice incorrectly listed the dates as Tuesday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 14. 
The correct dates are: 

  • Wednesday, May 13 – 7am-3pm
  • Thursday, May 14 – 10am-6pm

UAW Local 2256 Election Committee 

The Election Committee Election took place on March 25th at the General Membership meeting. The results are as followed:

UAW Local 2256 Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Election

Nominations are being accepted for the offices of: 
  • President
  • Vice President
  • Recording Secretary
  • Full-time Chairperson
  • Part-time Chairperson
  • Alternate Chairperson

Nomination Acceptance letters are to be dated no later than May 22nd 2026 and will be taken from May 18 — May 22, 2026. Letters must be sent to one of the following Unit Election Committee Members:

  • Robin Harris 

Campaign time frame is scheduled June 1 — 10, 2026.

Election will be held

  • June 9, 2026 8:00am - 3:00pm. 
  • June 10, 2026 8:00am — 3:00pm
